New Orleans bound....

The reason I started this blog is to let everyone know that I am paying it forward, or paying it back.

I will be going to New Orleans, LA on April 18 for 14 days. During that time I have committed to work on the construction of new homes volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. Some people ask me why did I decide to do this. Well, I have a few different reasons, the first being the need to help. This is my way of giving back. I wanted to do something for my own self satisfaction and this just seemed right for me.

I didn't want to volunteer locally, and I sure didn't want to leave the country! My luck, I wouldn't get back in!! I feel that there is so much to do right here in my own country that I couldn't go anywhere else right now. I wanted to go to NOLA after the hurricane, but it wasn't in the cards for me then. It is now and I work towrds my goal everyday.
