Counting down....

I am sitting in my Literature class and making lists in my head. I'm packing it all Thursday, hooking up the trailer with the motorcycle on it and checking everything twice.

It seems no matter how much I plan, there is always something to do or remember. I had to dig into some of my cash reserve to buy a new MC battery, that hurt, but will be well worth it once I get there. I have been squirrelling away things and now they are all having meaning of where they need to go and what their function is!

I am doing my final presentation to the class on Thursday since I won't be here next week. I have to do a compare and contrast paper. What my goal is while I am in NOLA is bleeding over into my final essay and presentation. I am comparing and contrasting Nickelback's " If everyone cared " and a Maya Angelou poem from the inauguration of Bill Clinton in 1993, "The Rock Cries out to us Today". They both speak of change and keeping our focus on helping others. One small person is like a pebble thrown into a pond, and causing a ripple effect. We need to keep our focus on our countries needs, no matter what they are or who we are.

Well, I guess I better go and finish my class!
